Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026. Effective: 24 October 2026 for new users.
If you had an account before this version was published, we email you about this policy, with at least 15 days' notice of changes that materially affect how we use your data.
1. What this covers
This policy covers the cookies and browser storage on Tribue's own sites. On a merchant's online store that uses Tribue, our pixel and Shopify app save a random visitor ID (until you clear your browser's storage), a session ID and the time of your last activity (replaced after 30 minutes without activity), and the code of the creator link you came through (for up to 90 days) in your browser's cookies and storage. They do so only if the store's privacy settings allow analytics, which you give by accepting its cookie banner where it shows one (Privacy Policy, section 4D).
The law lets us use what is strictly necessary to run the service without asking you. Analytics only run if you accept them.
2. What we use
| Purpose | How long | Your choice |
|---|---|---|
| Keeping you signed in and protecting sign-in | Up to 7 days, renewed while you use Tribue | Always on |
| Remembering your cookie choice | 1 year | Always on |
| Crediting the person who shared a referral or campaign link with you, if you sign up | 30 days | Always on |
| Picking up where you left off on the waitlist or when connecting a store | Up to 24 hours | Always on |
| Remembering your settings, such as your workspace, layout and theme | Up to 7 days, or until you clear them | Always on |
| Analytics and session recordings (with what you type hidden), to see how Tribue is used (PostHog) | Up to 1 year | Only if you accept |
Some pages also load files from other services, which see your IP address: emoji in messages, fonts on the masterclass page, and our payment provider (Whop) on the payout and identity-check pages. Whop may set its own cookies there, under its own policy.
3. Your choice
In the web app, a banner asks you to Accept or Decline analytics and session recordings. Both buttons are the same size, and nothing changes for you if you decline.
Two things happen whatever you choose: a referral or campaign link remembers who shared it, and when you create an account our server sends one sign-up event to our analytics provider.
4. Changing your mind
Clear cookies and site data for klipped.io in your browser, and the banner will ask again. Or email support@tribue.io and we will also delete the analytics data linked to your account. Blocking the always-on cookies stops sign-in from working.
